Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RuRu Lab Tools website and related online services (the "Service"), operated by RuRu Lab ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service provides online tools for working with documents, images, audio, and related files, including tools that run in your browser and features that use server-side or AI processing. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
2. Accounts
Some features may require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration information, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any law or the rights of others; (b) upload or process content that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious; (c) attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or (d) resell or abuse the Service in a way that harms us or other users.
4. Your Content
You retain all rights to the files and text you process ("Your Content"). You grant us only the limited, temporary rights needed to perform the operation you request (for example, sending a file to a conversion or AI service and returning the result). You are responsible for having the necessary rights to Your Content and for complying with applicable laws.
5. AI-Generated Output
Features such as AI slide generation, summarization, translation, and text-to-speech produce automated output that may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it. We make no guarantee regarding the accuracy, suitability, or originality of AI-generated content.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, text, and software (excluding third-party open-source components under their own licenses, and excluding Your Content), is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
7. Third-Party Services and Advertising
The Service integrates third-party services (such as OpenAI and Google AdSense) and displays advertising. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party content or ads.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RuRu Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, files, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or JPY 1,000.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RuRu Lab from any claims or liabilities arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
