This Privacy Policy explains how RuRu Lab ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the RuRu Lab Tools website and related online services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Files You Process
Many of our tools (labeled "無料Eブラウザ処琁E / browser-based) run entirely within your browser. For these tools, the files you open are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted to our servers.
Some features require server-side processing and therefore send your file to our processing service, including: Office conversions (e.g., Word/PowerPoint/Excel ↁEPDF), AI slide generation, translation, and text-to-speech. For these features, files and input text are transmitted solely to perform the requested operation and are deleted shortly after processing. We do not use your files to train models.
2. Account Information
If you create an account, we collect your name (optional), email address, and a securely hashed password. We use this to provide and secure your account and to communicate with you about the Service.
3. Usage Data and Cookies
We may collect standard technical information (such as browser type, device, approximate region, and pages viewed) and use cookies or similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and measure performance.
4. Advertising
We display advertising, including through Google AdSense, to keep core tools free. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies and identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. 5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted providers to deliver certain features, including OpenAI (for AI generation and text-to-speech), open-source conversion software hosted by us (e.g., LibreOffice), hosting/CDN providers, and Google (for advertising and analytics). These providers process data only as needed to provide their services.
6. Data Retention
Files sent for server-side processing are retained only transiently to complete the operation and are then deleted. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter, unless a longer period is required by law.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Users
We operate from Japan. If you access the Service from other regions, your information may be processed in Japan or other countries where our providers operate.
